Hey Rocstars! i hope you all have been good and have already kick started your new year resolutions into gear. Here i am again with another effortless outfit post. There is nothing i love more than an easy, "unfussy", stylish outfit. A Meriono/Tank top is a must have in my life! whether its printed, textured or plain and simple like this one. A tank top is a staple iin my wardrobe. It keeps you cool and if paired with the right pieces can really give you that cali/Jamaican street chic look.

Most of my tanks i usually steal from my Grandfather, yeah! you heard right, my grandpa. He has a load of them laying around, unworn and neglected so i adopted aka stole a few and i have been roc'ing the hell out of them...... thanks papa! :) It is paired with an aztec -like printed shorts, a floral trucker hat to add a slight tropical vibe and a knitted shoes to add to the overall summer casual vibe. The cheetah print watch and beaded chain added a good deal of interest and style to the whole look. This look could easily take you from a beach party to a causal stroll down the streets of Cali.
To my fellow caribbean buthas and sistas who wear tank tops on a regular, its VERY important that you use sunscreen on your skin because yall know this sun don't play! lol, and our melanin got to be protected, right? And for those who rather a more layered or cover up look and still want to look easy breezy, you can always throw a flannel shirt or light denim button up over it and you can add some "flava" to it by wearing printed and colored bracelets, a bold color or printed hat or even singlasses. Trust me, it helps. And oh! to all my overseas readers who are facing cold climates right now, please feel free to experience the warmth vicariously through this post lol. Til next time my Rocstars!
